I don't care whether you like Tchaikovsky and Brahms, or not, but they sure do bring in the crowds! We went to the Symphony last night and it was more full than we had seen it in weeks and we were thrilled!!
I personally loved both of the pieces performed... such beautiful music! The piano soloist (Alexander Paley) did an amazing job!! And I thought the conductor (Jean-Claude Casadesus) was wonderful as well!
Utah Symphony - Tchaikovsky's 1st Piano Concerto -
Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky ~ Concerto No. 1 for Piano in B-flat minor, op. 23
Johannes Brahms ~ Symphony No. 1 in C minor, op. 68
The concert next week is sure to be a great one as well! And don't forget to join Vivace for the afterparty! http://www.utahsymphony.org/concerts_vivace.php
