The performance: Tchaikovsky invites you to “forsake reality and lose oneself in dreams” with his symphonic masterpiece, Symphony No. 4 conducted by JoAnn Falletta. And, what better way to ‘check out’ than with that oddity of oddities, a Percussion Concerto complete with vibraphone, temple blocks, wood blocks, a bowl, gongs, tom-toms, bongos, and yes... cowbell. Scotsman Colin Currie brings Jennifer Higdon’s concerto to life.
The after-party: For Vivace’s 3rd birthday, we’re shaking things up! Party all night long with Vivace peeps, Colin Currie, JoAnn Falletta, and members of the Utah Symphony while enjoying extraordinary -- and free -- culinary delights, non-alcoholic Sparkling Pear Cider, wine, and
